Change Analyst / Change Manager

Job Location: Bristol  |  Hybrid
Salary & Benefits: Up to £47k/annum + bonus & bens
Help deliver the change processes for a leading international professional services firm.

We are looking for an analytical and self-led Change professional to help support firm-wide Change and Configuration processes.

An experienced Change Analyst is required to help deliver the change processes for a leading international professional services firm who are undergoing a large digital transformation programme resulting in a significant increase in change requests.

The role.

Reporting to the IT Governance manager, the Change Analyst will oversee organisational activities related to Change and Configuration processes. You will ensure effective daily operations and the timely delivery of management information to key stakeholders.

The responsibilities.

To do this, your main responsibilities will be

  • Supporting and validating Change and Configuration Management principles and procedures.
  • Managing corrective actions for failed or unauthorised changes.
  • Preparing accurate change data and overseeing progress.
  • Managing Change Requests through their lifecycle.
  • Ensuring quality data recording and presentation.
  • Maintaining Customer Communication Plans.
  • Chairing and managing CAB/E-CAB meetings and documentation.
  • Updating and maintaining the Configuration Management System and maintaining CI relationships.
  • Producing Configuration Management reports.
  • Assisting in creating and maintaining CI and IT Asset baselines and releases.
  • Conducting audits of IT Assets and CIs.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary data and tools for authorized personnel.
  • Managing Configuration Management toolsets including admin duties through ServiceNow
  • Maintaining the Definitive Media Library with SAM reporting.
  • Implementing housekeeping and archiving activities.
  • Collaborating with other Service Support processes.
  • Participating in internal and external audits as needed.

About you.

We are looking for a Change Analyst with some or most of the following skills and experiences.

  • ITIL V3 Foundation certificate
  • Experience in administering and delivering effective Change Management and Configuration Management processes.
  • Experience managing a central CMDB within a service support environment.
  • Solid understanding of all service disciplines.
  • You will also have technical ability and understanding in these areas
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel for status accounting.
  • Experience with CMDB (desirable).
  • Experience in administering SAM, including SCCM (desirable but not required).
  • An understanding of the IT asset lifecycle (procurement to disposal).
  • Familiarity with service management toolsets, such as ServiceNow, is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure (servers/deskside) and software license management.
  • Experience managing detailed DML baselines.

Using your keen attention to detail, you can analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute, and evaluate work within time, cost, and quality targets.

You will also have a collaborative mindset with the ability to advise others on applying processes and policies whilst being able to accept guidance from others to ensure service quality and delivery.
