The role.

In this lead Communications and Events role, you’ll lead external communications, manage industry partnerships and sponsorships, and deliver impactful events designed to strengthen brand presence and engagement.

As Communications & Events Manager, you will develop and implement an integrated public relations and events strategy aligned to the company’s growth ambitions.

You’ll manage media relationships, external communications, and a wide-ranging events calendar — ensuring the company’s brand and reputation are promoted and protected across all touchpoints.

You’ll also support internal communications, helping to align colleagues around key business initiatives and fostering a collaborative, connected culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an external PR, Sponsorship, and Events strategy that drives brand reputation and visibility
  • Build strong relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, event partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee the delivery of a full events programme, including content planning, supplier management, and on-site execution
  • Maximise the impact of sponsorships and industry partnerships
  • Manage the company’s PR agency relationship, ensuring coverage in key trade and business press
  • Develop internal communication strategies to engage employees and align them with company objectives
  • Continuously monitor trends in the events and media space to ensure innovative and effective campaign delivery

About you.

We are looking for an experienced Communications and Events lead with proven experience in the following

  • Leading external communications, PR campaigns, and corporate events
  • Skilled at building and managing relationships with external suppliers, media contacts, and internal teams
  • Strong knowledge of sponsorship management and partnership engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work proactively, managing multiple projects and priorities to tight deadlines
  • Experience in financial services and ideally within the wealth management, investment management, WRAP platform or financial adviser-facing environments would be an advantage
  • A good understanding of the UK financial services regulatory environment preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
