We are looking for a dynamic Deposit Operations Lead to oversee Savings and Current Accounts; ensuring excellence in daily operations, customer interactions, and regulatory compliance.
The role.
As an experienced professional in deposit operations, you will take ownership of the following areas
Operational Management:
- Lead all aspects of deposit operations from origination to maturity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to boost efficiency and quality.
- Analyze performance metrics to drive improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, compliance, finance, and risk management teams.
- Monitor operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage rate changes, product launches, and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Oversee product forecasting and performance analytics.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks in collaboration with the risk management team.
- Implement effective controls and audit trails for a robust control environment.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, coach, and support a team of deposit operations professionals.
- Foster a positive team culture and encourage collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for continuous improvement.
Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Address customer escalations or complaints promptly and effectively.
Technology and Automation:
- Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize operations.
About you.
We are looking for an experienced Deposit Operations Lead with strong commercial experience in a financial institution or UK deposits.
You will also have
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
- Deep knowledge of deposit operations and payment flows.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in core banking platforms and understanding of payment schemes and open banking.
- High level of integrity and commitment to compliance and risk management.
